This week's common pollen types

Oct. 16, 2014

What's in the air this week?

Since Monday the week’s been cool and wettish and the combination of southerly winds and some rain has resulted in a few days of fairly low pollen counts.

While we nervously await the season's first day of high grass pollen levels, I thought I'd cast my eye over the 'other' pollen types we’ve seen. The dominant weed pollen were plantain and dock and the dominant tree pollen was cypress, far and away our most common pollen type.

Today's picture shows some of the other tree pollen we've seen over the past few days - enjoy!
